Description: 1934 U.S. All-Star team Tour of Japan photograph. Original 7 1/2"x10" sepia tone image in a matte finish picturing the U.S. All-Star team posed outdoors in uniform. Players are clearly visible incl. Ruth, Gehrig, Foxx, and Berg, each of whom wears a large floral presentational pin. Notated on the back in period ink as having been taken in Omiya where the U.S. team hit ten home runs in a full size ball park. Very fine image which we have not previously encountered and which may be a unique surviving example. Includes letter of provenance from the Quinn family: NM
