Description: Superb Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, and John Quinn auto. large format photograph c.1934. Breathtaking original image taken in Toyama, Japan during the 1934 U.S. All-Star team tour. Taken from a ground level vantage point, photo pictures Babe Ruth at bat and Lou Gehrig kneeling on deck. The photo has been signed by Ruth, Gehrig, and Quinn in fountain pen rating 10 out of 10. The signatures literally appear as though they were signed yesterday retaining full depth with no pen skips or fading. On its own, the image itself is a significant offering and is very likely a unique surviving example. Overall size is 10"x11" matted and framed with a small corner crease at the bottom left which is only slightly visible under the matting. With regard to condition, image quality, signature quality, image composition, and primary source provenance, we feel that the offered image is the finest Ruth and Gehrig signed photograph that we have encountered. Includes LOA from James Spence Authentication and letter of provenance from the Quinn family: NM-MT (With note to corner crease)
