Description: Roy Campanella, Don Newcombe, and Larry Doby auto. baseball c.1940s. Lightly soiled unofficial baseball signed by the three HOF'ers and former Negro League star players on the sweet spot and adjoining panel. Signatures remain very strong ranging from 7-10 out of 10. The ball was obtained by a gentleman who was employed with the Southern Railway Co. from 1916-51. The lot includes a letter of provenance, 1947 Railway Conductor magazine, 1939 Southern Railway system timetable, and a 1942 Southern Railway system map.
