Description: Vintage Connie Mack single signed baseball c.1928. Lt. toned Barnard AL baseball signed in blue fountain pen by Mack across the sweet spot. The signature rates 7/8 out of 10 and has a small, period date of "1928" written in black ink underneath. The ball itself appears to have light to moderate game use incl. some typical light surface wear. Discovered in a local Philadelphia estate along with a Babe Ruth single signed baseball (to be sold in our Feb. 2007 auction). The lot also includes a 1935 postmarked Phila. A's envelope which contains an unlined card secretarial signed "Connie Mack". Includes LOA from James Spence Authentication (ball): Ball: VG-EX, Signature: EX/MT-NM
