Description: 1958 Pittsburgh Pirates home jersey. Original cream color flannel vest style shirt worn by coach Lenny Levy during the 1958 season. The jersey retains its original Pirates team name on the front with "42" on the reverse. Rawlings tag with size 46 tag is affixed to the tail front. Dry clean and "Set 1 1958" flag tag are on the inside tail front. The jersey exhibits evident use with some wear to the piping and a slight separation on the "4" of "42" on the back. Desirable period Pirates flannel with Jackie Robinson's number 42 on the back, which is now retired by Major League Baseball. Includes LOA from Hunt Auctions, Inc: EX
