Description: Lou Gehrig photograph c.1937. Interesting original sepia tone image of Gehrig being helped off the field during a game on July 13, 1937 against the Detroit Tigers. The back of the photo features a lengthy period notation regarding the circumstances which interestingly includes, "will probably call a halt to his consecutive games of which this was the 1,425".
