Description: 1964 Don Demeter Phila. Phillies road jersey. Grey flannel shirt with original "Phillies" embroidered team name on the front and #24 on the reverse. Wilson tag along with "1964" strip tag are affixed to the tail front. The player name is missing from the collar and the piping in the collar area has some fraying. The numbers on the back also have some wear incl. a few minor areas of separation at the edges. Demeter was traded to the Tigers for HOF pitcher Jim Bunning just before the start of the 1964 season and was the only player to wear #24 in 1964. Very desirable vintage Phillies flannel from the infamous 1964 season in which they collapsed to lose the NL pennant. Includes LOA from Hunt Auctions, Inc: VG-EX
