Description: 1977 Joe DiMaggio World Series ring. 14K gold ring features "1977" raised numerals above a World Series trophy with "Pride" and "Tradition" placards on one side panel. The opposite side panel has "DiMaggio" nameplate above a Yankees logo denoting their 21st World Championship. Top of the ring has "NY" lettering with (19) inset diamonds encircled by "Yankees World Champions" raised lettering. "LGB 14K" hallmarks are impressed on the interior band as they were on the original 1977 ring for Balfour. This ring is part of the replacement set issued to Joe by Mr. Steinbrenner and the New York Yankees after his original rings were stolen in the 1960s. Very high quality ring originally issued for the classic World Series in which the Yankees defeated the Dodgers and Reggie Jackson established his reputation as "Mr. October": NM
