Description: 1949 Joe DiMaggio trophy plaque. Very fine quality mahogany plaque measuring 14" tall with an applied bronze placard having raised letter titling. Inscribed as presented to Joe DiMaggio by the Columbian Civic Club of Newark, NJ on October 1, 1949. The trophy plaque was one of the numerous gifts bestowed upon DiMaggio at ceremonies held at Yankee Stadium honoring his career. Retains its original American Bronze Sign & Tablet Co. metal tag at the bottom: EX-EX/MT
