Description: 1949 Joe DiMaggio Sportsman of the Year award plaque. Very handsome mahogany trophy plaque presented to DiMaggio by the State of Florida. The plaque measures 15" tall with applied brass columnar dTcor surrounding a central brass placard having an engraved image of Joe DiMaggio. Dated January 14, 1949. The plaque surface has some typical surface scratching and some flaking to the original paint decoration on the DiMaggio engraving: EX
