Description: 1937 Babe Ruth auto. photograph to Joe DiMaggio. Matted and framed 9 1/2"x13" black and white photograph picturing Babe Ruth standing with the 1937 All America Board of Baseball award recipients. Players include Joe DiMaggio, Lou Gehrig, Carl Hubbell, and Red Ruffing. The photo is signed at the bottom margin in blue fountain pen, "Congratulations to Joe DiMaggio with best wishes From Babe Ruth 1937". Signature and salutation remain very bold ranging from 7-10 out of 10. The ink has some 'feathering' in a few areas from contact while still wet. The image itself retains strong clarity and original contrast with some light age toning at the top margin (not visible under the matting). Very fine Babe Ruth signed photo inscribed to the man who inherited his title as the symbolic leader of the New York Yankees. Includes LOA from James Spence Authentication: EX-MT (With note to ink 'feathering')
