Description: 1947 Joe DiMaggio New York Yankees 19 consecutive wins presentational wristwatch. Fine quality 14K gold wristwatch presented to Joe DiMaggio in celebration of the 1947 Yankees record setting 19 consecutive victories. The watch remains in superb, as issued condition with minimal surface wear and brilliant details. Reverse is inscribed, "Joe DiMaggio [facsimile signature] 1947 19 Straight Wins American League Record". The Yankees logo is also engraved onto the back plate of the watch. During the period from June 29th to July 18th, the Yankees reeled off a record tying 19 straight wins en route to another World Championship season. The 1947 Yankees streak places the team in rare company as only a few others in Major League history have either tied or surpassed that amount. Includes its original Jules Jurgensen box and hang tag: EX/MT-NM
