Description: 1939 photograph of Joe DiMaggio and Lou Gehrig posed with a boys baseball team. Black and white 8"x10" image pictures DiMaggio and Lou Gehrig standing amongst two youth baseball teams at the 1939 World's Fair sports program. The image shows a clearly aged Gehrig as the photo was taken in September of 1939 after his voluntary retirement from baseball due to illness. Joe McCarthy and Bucky Harris are seated in the front along with several young men holding Babe Ruth autographed baseball trophies. Retains its original paper identification label: EX-MT
