Description: Joe DiMaggio's U.S. Military duffle bag with related baseball equipment c.1950s. Olive canvas handled bag issued to DiMaggio for his service during World War II. Bag exhibits general usage wear; zipper is not working, but remains intact. U.S. Customs stamping remains on the side panel. Inside of the bag includes a period black leather belt along with a vintage New York Yankees leather luggage tag. It is very likely that this bag was used by DiMaggio to carry his WWII baseball uniform while in the Army in the 1940s or his NY Yankees uniform while on Oriental Goodwill Tours in the 1950s.
