Description: Joe DiMaggio's surf casting fishing rod with customized reel c.1950s-60s. 8' long Garcia model #2151 fiberglass surf rod remains in unused original condition with its original cloth case. Includes Garcia/Mitchell salt water spinning reel in its original box. Reel has "Joe DiMaggio" impressed in white lettering on the side. The reel has some age wear but remains in unused, original condition. The lot also includes an original large format photograph of Joe DiMaggio and Marilyn Monroe walking on a beach in Florida with a similar rod/reel c.1960s. The image was sent to Joe by a friend and was taken when Joe and Marilyn were once again becoming close: EX
