Description: 1937 Joe DiMaggio All-Star game presentational pocketknife. Scarce early All-Star game award piece issued for the 1937 game played in Washington D.C. in which the AL won by a score of 8-3 behind four RBI's by Lou Gehrig. 14K gold pocketknife has "All-Star Game Washington July 7, 1937" lettered on one side panel and "Joseph DiMaggio" on the other panel flanking two crossed baseball bats. Original knife blades are intact with some typical light toning. Personal All-Star game award pieces from the 1930s are rarely offered with this particular piece carrying the added significance of having been given to Joe DiMaggio.
