Description: Joe DiMaggio related scrapbook c.1934. Vintage scrapbook with bound color paper covers measuring 11"x16" chronicles DiMaggio's 1934 season with the San Francisco Seals. Compiled by his sister Marie DiMaggio, the book includes various news articles and photos with several oversized illustrations along with several Amateur Boxing programs incl. 1934 Golden Gloves Championship program. The scrapbook also includes a section devoted to the famous knee injury that Joe suffered while getting out of a jitney in San Francisco. The injury caused wild speculation about his future in baseball.
