Description: Significant Joe DiMaggio Hall of Fame induction ring. Ever since Joe DiMaggio, as a young 17 year old Italian American, stepped onto the field at San Francisco's Seals Stadium to play shortstop in the stead of Augie Galan, the goal had been simple: "I'm just a ballplayer with one ambition, and that is to give all I've got to help my ball club win." Joe DiMaggio excelled at this simple formula for success like no other player before or since earning his election to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1955. DiMaggio stated on many occasions throughout the years that his Hall of Fame election was the greatest honor he had received. In many ways, it was the ultimate fulfillment for all the years he had persevered at the very highest level never settling for second place and always giving 100% effort. Offered is Joe DiMaggio's Hall of Fame Induction ring. Handsome 10K gold ring has an image of the Hall of Fame on one side panel with "Outfielder" impressed on the nameplate. The other panel has "DiMaggio" nameplate above crossed bats with "Elected 1955" below. The top of the ring features an inset baseball shaped decor in a black field with "Baseball Hall of Fame" raised lettering surrounding. "LGB 10K" is stamped on the interior ring band. Retains its original Balfour case and exterior box. Includes a vintage photograph of Joe DiMaggio at his 1955 Hall of Fame Induction. The most significant Hall of Fame Induction ring to have been offered to the collecting public to date: NM
