Description: Lefty Yerkes 1929 Philadelphia Athletics team autographed presentational album. Offered is the album presented to Yerkes as a member of the World Champion A's. Album retains its original string bound covers which are inscribed in gilt inset lettering "The World's Champions Baseball Club of 1929 To My Friends" by photographer H.Madonna Wagner. Interior contains (29) autographed 5"x8" original sepia tone studio portraits of A's players and officials incl. Foxx, Cochrane, Mack, T.Shibe (owner), Collins, Gleason, Grove, and Yerkes. Signatures remain very strong ranging from 8-10 out of 10. Based on comparisons to other known examples of this album, it appears that a signed image of the team trainer (Doc Ebling) is missing. Incredible rarity from a team member that has not previously been offered for public sale. Includes LOA from James Spence Authentication and letter of provenance from the Yerkes family: Cover/Album: EX, Photos/Signatures: NM
