Description: 1977 Steve Carlton Phila. Phillies road jersey. Blue knit jersey retains its original "P" on front along with #32. Back has "Carlton" nameplate attached with #32 beneath. "Carlton" is chain stitched in black on strip tag inside the collar; Wilson tag remains on tail front along with "77 2" year/set strip tag. Jersey exhibits evident usage including very strong general age/wash wear. Faint vintage notation of "Davis" is visible inside the collar likely referring to a Minor League player who may have worn the jersey after Carlton. Additionally, the "Carlton" nameplate on the reverse has had some restoration. During the 1970s-80s there was no greater left handed pitcher as Lefty simply dominated the National League and led the Phillies to several NL pennant winning seasons.
