Description: Superb tipped finger white leather workman's style baseball glove c.1890s. Very high quality, adult size glove features light brown tipped finger padding on a white leather body. Retains its original crescent padding in the heel area and unmarked metal button on the backstrap. The glove exhibits light general usage while retaining its original surface and form. The glove was recently discovered in a New England estate. Tipped finger style baseball gloves are among the rarest of any kind with the offered example being only the second of its type and the first of its color and style that we have encountered.
