Description: Billy Herman professional model baseball bat c.1943-47. Louisville Slugger 125 model bat measures 34" long and weighs 34.8oz. Bat shows strong usage incl. period handle tape repair to a crack, ball marks, and rack marks. K55 is stamped on the knob end. H&B factory records indicate that Herman ordered three bats of these specifications on 7/29/1947 while with the Pitt. Pirates. Herman was a very fine hitter who compiled over 2,300 hits with a lifetime average of .304. Tough HOF'er model game bat rarely offered for sale. Includes LOA from Hunt Auctions,Inc: EX
