Description: Hank Aaron professional model baseball bat c.1954-57. Rare early Adirondack model #302 bat measures 35" long and weighs 33.4oz. The bat exhibits strong, evident usage incl. repaired handle crack (professionally done), ball marks, cleat marks, and rack marks. Knob end has 63A stamped in white factory lettering. The bat was originally given to an employee at Philadelphia'a Shibe Park in the mid 1950's after it was used in a night game between the Phillies and Braves. The bat was cracked in the game and presented to the employee the following day. Aaron has signed the bat in blue sharpie across the barrel. Early playing career Aaron game bats are very rare and highly sought after. The offered example is one of the finest to have been offered publicly with direct provenance and superb usage characteristics.
