Description: Rare Tris Speaker professional model baseball bat c.1921-31. Louisville Slugger 125 model bat measures 34" long and weighs 42.2oz. Bat shows evident usage incl. a very slight handle fissure, ball marks, and some checking to the back of the barrel. Both the Louisville Slugger and player signature stampings remain quite bold with a desirable even color and finish. The bat has had some restoration to a few small chips on the knob and to an area of dryness at the end of the barrel. The restoration changed the listed weight of the bat slightly, as Speaker typically used a 40oz. bat. Regarded as one of the finest outfielders in Major League history, Speaker's bats are highly treasured by collectors and seldom become available to the collecting public.
