Description: Ted Williams professional model baseball bat c. 1950-60. Louisville Slugger 125 model bat measures 35" long and weighs 32.2oz. Beautiful example shows evident usage incl. ball and cleat marks. W155 is stamped on the knob end, barrel retains a bold facsimile signature stamping. The bat originated from the collection of Red Sox teammate Joe Dobson and remains in original condition. According to family history, Dobson had been given the bat at the end of the 1950 season. Williams game used bats of this quality and provenance are highly sought after and rarely offered for public sale.
