Description: Superb 1966 Roberto Clemente Pittsburgh Pirates home jersey. Cream color flannel vest style shirt worn by Clemente during the 1966 season in which he captured the National League MVP award. The jersey retains its original team name on front along with #21 which repeats on the back. Rawlings tag is affixed to the tail front along with dry clean tag having "Set 1 1966" flag tag. Shirt exhibits appropriate usage and wash wear while retaining fresh original color. The 1966 season was certainly one of Clemente's finest with a batting average of .317, 202 hits, 105 runs, 31 doubles, 29 home runs, and 119 RBI's. The offered jersey was obtained directly from Clemente by a Pittsburgh area businessman in the period and has remained in the family since that time. One of the finest Clemente jerseys extant.
