Description: Scarce 1889 "The Champion Game of Base Ball". One of the rarest and most desirable of all player endorsed baseball games features color lithographic label on the lid picturing HOF'ers Dan Brouthers and John Clarkson. Interior retains original color lithographic board with spinners and (2) unused scorecards. The right side of the lid has some damage mostly to the apron area although a portion of the side apron does remain. Interior game board and box bottom are basically intact with some splitting at the joints of the box bottom. The lid area could be greatly improved with some professional restoration.
