Exceptional vintage sepia tone photograph from Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig's famed 1927 barnstorming tour signed by Gehrig in black fountain pen with the date of "10/27/27" (not written by Gehrig). Signature is notably bold for Gehrig's hand rating 9 out of 10. Photo itself is very clean with only some light inpainting to a horizontal surface crease and retains original contrast. Non personalized Gehrig signed images of quality are exceedingly rare with note to the desirable 1927 dating written just two weeks after the Yankees dominating World Series sweep.
