Description: Ty Cobb photograph by Charles Conlon c.1915. Captivating sepia tone image of Cobb scowling to the right in early high collared Detroit uniform. Photo size is 4 3/4"x6 1/2" and is notated on the reverse as having originated from the Gordon Miller collection. Period pencil notation in Conlon's hand remains on the back. The photo has some very minor surface wrinkling with some light chipping to two corners. The brilliance of Conlon's work lies in its simplicity yet powerful resonance as he seems to transport the viewer into the image and the period in which it was taken.
