Description: Ty Cobb photograph by Charles Conlon c.1915. Poignant sepia tone image of Cobb scowling into the camera lense in early high collared Detroit uniform. Photo size is 4 3/4"x6 1/4" matted and framed in a museum quality display with period pencil notation in Conlon's hand remaining on the back. The photo has some minor surface crazing with a small emulsion chip to the right of Cobb's hat. "Feb. 8, 1924 N.E.A." date is stamped on the back from a re-issue date. Ty Cobb was one of Charles Conlon's favorite subjects inclusive of his famed sliding into third base image that is widely regarded as the pinnacle of baseball photography.
