Description: 1913 Ty Cobb trophy. Arts and Crafts style handled cup as presented to Ty Cobb in 1913 by "The Young Fans Club of Atlanta, GA" for the title of "Baseballs Greatest". Trophy is inscribed as such with Cobb's name on the front and measures 10" tall. Very high quality piece is bronze with sterling silver overlay and was given by Cobb to biographer Al Stump. Personal HOF player trophies of this quality and era are exceedingly rare with the offered item being one of the only Cobb related awards to enter the marketplace: EX
