Description: Superb Roberto Clemente single signed baseball. Unused near white Worth "Official League" baseball signed on the sweet spot, "Best Wishes Roberto Clemente" in black ink. The signature remains nearly as the day it was signed rating 9/10 out of 10. The ball has a vintage applied label on a side panel with typewritten notation, "Commemorating 3,000th Hit Sat. Sept. 30, 1972 vs. Jon Matlock of New York Mets." Likely a commemorative or promotional ball given out in honor of Clemente's 3,000th hit. One of the finest Clemente single signed baseballs that we have encountered with note to the desirable 3,000th hit related labeling on the side panel.
