Description: Rare 1907 World Series panoramic photograph. Very seldom offered oversized version of this classic image measures 17"x37" matted and framed picturing game action taken during the second game of the 1907 World Series between Detroit and Chicago. The photograph was taken from a vantage point behind the first baseline and offers a fine sweeping view of the game in progress with thousands of fans jammed into every conceivable spot within the Chicago stadium. Almost on cue from the photographer Ty Cobb is up to bat for the Tigers who led the American League in batting during the 1907 season. Clarity and contrast are quite impressive given its size for the period. Photo has a few areas within the sky that have some white spotting and one small abrasion that do not notably detract from the visuals nor integrity of the image.
