Description: Vintage baseball uniform proposed to the Phila. Athletics for Major League use c.1949-50. High quality flannel shirt and pants with blue pinstriping made by the Pearson Sporting Goods Co. Jersey has white on blue "A" patch and back has oversized white on blue #22 similar in design to the Phillies uniform numbers of the same era. Pearson tagging remains inside collar and a tag has been removed which was most likely the MacGregor tag as Pearson did not want the Athletics to see that they outsourced the manufacture of their uniforms. Pearson did in fact end up supplying the A's uniforms in 1952. Very attractive style from a classic franchise: EX
