Description: 1939 AL All-Star team auto. ball with the original ticket stub. Superb example of this rare 1930's era ball which was obtained at the game played at Yankee Stadium and includes the original ticket stub from the recipient. Harridge AL ball is lightly clear coated and has been signed by (27) members of the AL team incl. Foxx, DiMaggio, Grove, Dickey, Gomez, McCarthy, Appling, Greenberg, Ruffing, Feller, Cronin, and a clubhouse signed Lou Gehrig signature. Signatures range from 6-9 out of 10 with the vast majority grading 8 or better. In one of the more dramatic early All-Star games the American League took the game by a score of 3-1 behind a Joe DiMaggio home run and three innings of shut out pitching by a young 20 year old named Bob Feller.
