Description: Scarce April 10, 1947 ticket stub for exhibition game played between the Montreal Royals and the Brooklyn Dodgers at Ebbets Field with original photograph. Historic ticket issued for the first game played by Jackie Robinson at Ebbets Field. Robinson was still at Montreal due to pressures placed on Branch Rickey not to bring him up to the Dodgers. Just a few days later Jackie would finally be brought up to the Dodgers and the rest is history. Ticket has a horizontal crease and one edge chip on the front, back has two small abrasions from scrapbook removal. First example that we have encountered: VG. Includes an original black and white photograph taken during the game with Robinson fielding a ball. 6"x8" with period news bylines on reverse: EX
