Description: Fine vintage Josh Gibson photograph c. 1940-42. Beautiful image of Gibson at bat awaiting the ball with more likelyhood then not that it would be propelled into the stands for another home run. Black and white is 8”x10” with scrapbook paper residue on back retaining perfect contrast and clarity. Gibson is credited with 962 lifetime home runs against various levels of competition and quite definitely ranks among the finest baseball players of any race to ever wear a uniform.
