Description: Rare 1939 Buck “Bobo” Newsom Detroit Tigers warmup jacket. Large wool and leather jacket that was once worn by the 20 year Major League veteran. Marked with its’ original O’Shea Knitting Mills tag in collar and retains original script “D” on breast. “Buck Newsom” chain stitched onto applied interior label at base of coat, jacket remains in original condition with excellent usage wear and toning. The 200 pound Newsom was a journeyman pitcher before the term came into vogue but is also remembered for his love of the game and character: EX-MT
