Description: Rare Pittsburgh Pirates team cabinet photograph c. 1896. Wonderful image of the team in full uniform posed outdoors with equipment visible incl. workman's gloves and bats. Players incl. Jake Beckely and Louis Bierbauer for whom the team is named, 10"x14" on original mount which has been trimmed to edge of photo. Stamped W.S. Bell & Co., Pittsburgh photographers, back has some staining and is dated in pencil "1896". Very early professional team photo with note to its' size: EX
