Description: Reach baseball equipment trunk c.1910-20's. Fine quality oversized traveling painted leather trunk having a large 10" diameter painted baseball on top with "A.J. Reach Wright & Ditson Div. Chicago" on the front. Vintage brown paint has developed an attractive alligatored original surface which conceals two decorative gilt Reach decals on the end panels. Applied metal plaque on lid has initials "jRs", trunk measures 20" wide, 33" tall, and 47" long remaining in fine general condition. Originated from the same estate as Lot 956" EX
