Description: 1956 Brooklyn Dodgers home jersey issued to George "Shotgun" Shuba. Cream home flannel shirt retains original blue "Dodgers" team name on front above original red "8". Blue "8" remains on back, Spalding tag is on tail front along with size 42 flag tag and "Shuba" chain stitched underneath. Dry cleaning tag is affixed inside along with Set 1 1956 flag tag. Shuba played in 1955 but not in 1956, both Dale Mitchell and Rocky Nelson wore #8 during the 1956 season. The shirt shows light general wear retaining excellent original color and surface. Mitchell was most noted during his Dodger career for striking out in the ninth inning to seal the perfect game for Don Larsen. Includes LOA from SCD Authentic David Bushing/Dan Knoll: EX-MT
