Description: Exceedingly rare William Hulbert auto. cut signature. Without question one of the most elusive and desirable of all HOF'er autographs the offered signature is penned in black ink on a 2"x4" segment of stationary that was apparently cut from a document. Signed, "Yours Truly W.A. Hulbert" rating 7/8 out of 10. Back of paper has partial name of Harry Wright and partial printing on the stationary indicating ...G.Spalding, Secretary" and "Chicago". Hulbert was part owner of the Chicago club and was instrumental in the foundation of the National League of which he would become President. Hulbert died in 1882 at the age of fifty and his signature rarely become available to the public marketplace. Paper has a small vertical fold line at the right side from the original mailing fold lines. Includes LOA from PSA/DNA J.Spence-S.Grad: EX-MT
