Description: 1943 Phila. Athletics road jersey. Grey flannel shirt retaining original "A" on front, back has #1 which has replaced the original number of either 9, 49, or 41 as it is difficult to discern the old number. Hal Wagner wore #9 in 1943. Goldsmith tagging remains inside shirt tail along with Mitchell & Ness tag, "44" and "4" are chain stitched onto the tail front with "3" missing from the year. Jersey also once had the War stars and stripes patch on its left sleeve. Includes LOA from SCD Authentic David Bushing/Dan Knoll: VG-EX
