Description: Fine 1980 Mike Schmidt Phila. Phillies home uniform. Schmidt owned the 1980 season. He led the Phillies to their first World Series since 1950 with 48 home runs and 121 RBI's running away with the NL MVP award. He then hit .381 with two home runs in the World Series helping the Phils to their first World Championship. Offered is Schmidt's 1980 complete uniform to consist of a pinstriped white knit shirt having its original "P" and #20 on front. Schmidt nameplate and #20 also remain intact on the back. "Schmidt" chain stitched strip tag inside collar and tail front has Wilson size 46 tag along with "80 1" strip tag. Shirt shows light general usage wear and is signed on the front by Schmidt: EX. Matching pants retain "Schmidt 80 1 27" chain stitched strip tag inside waistband along with Wilson size 35 tag. Pants show similar light to moderate usage wear and have also been signed by Schmidt: EX. Lot also includes pair of well used and auto. Franklin batting gloves and pair of Schmidt's Nike cleats with original white "20" on tongue and red pre-printed "20" on back of heel. Shoes have each been signed by Schmidt: VG-EX. One of the finest Schmidt game uniforms to come into the marketplace from the height of his Hall of Fame career. Includes LOA from SCD Authentic David Bushing/Dan Knoll.
