Description: Bucky Walters All-America baseball sweater c.1939. Royal blue wool sweater with red, white, and blue patch on front worn by Walters during the All-America Baseball Team for 1939. Retains original "All-America" tagging inside the collar, sweater remains in very clean overall condition. Walters was elected along with other players such as DiMaggio, Foxx, Williams, and Medwick to serve on the board which primarily conducted youth baseball activities. Obvious rarity due to very limited original amount produced for the participating players. Includes letter of provenance from the Walters family: EX-MT
