Description:Scarce baseball figural statue N.Muller, New York c.1868. One of the most desirable 19th century baseball by the most prolific artist of the period with regard to baseball related figurals. Materials are of a white metal retaining a fine percentage of its original bronze wash that has patinated nicely to a deep brown finish. Signed by Muller in raised lettering on the top of base and underneath with No. "533". 10" tall with a well uniformed batsman awaiting the pitch. Condition is superb with only the top portion (above the hands) of the bat having been restored as is normally the case on this particular piece. Notable opportunity to acquire a cornerstone piece for any 19th century baseball collection of import: EX-MT
