Description: Lot of Mickey Mantle's personal signed books along with an original Reader's Set Proof 1 of his autobiography "The Mick". Fine selection of items from Mantle's personal collection to include: 1985 "The Mick" by Mantle signed on title page "Merry Christmas 1990 Mickey Mantle", 1991 "My Favorite Summer" by Mantle signed on title page "Mickey Mantle", 1991 "My Favorite Summer" Collector's Edition signed by Mantle in gold sharpie on front cover, 1991 "Mickey Mantle comic book signed by Mantle on the front cover, and 1985 "The Mick" limited edition #7/536 hard cover volume by Mantle. This was Mantle's personal copy #'d 7 of 536 to commemorate his 7th home run hit in Fenway Park/1951. Lot also includes the Reader's Set Proof notes with handwritten corrections by Mickey Mantle. Original set of proof pages for Mantle's 1985 biography sent to Mantle for approval with several hand written corrections made by Mantle which read, in part: "Before Whitey left he told Billy (Martin) If I stand up straight tomorrow it will be a fast ball. If I bend over a slow curve. But don't hit a HR, o.k.? Sure enough Whitey threw a slow curve & Billy hit a HR-laughed all way around the bases" and "Moral-1) To Little Leaguers Take Care of Mind & Body 2) Fathers spend more time with kids".
