Description: Rare Rick Ferrell 1932 St. Louis Browns home jersey. Heavy stock cream flannel shirt with original intertwined "SL" on left sleeve. Retains original gold braid piping with sun collar having been removed (common for the era). #29 on back is a vintage number change from original #8, Spalding tag remains inside collar with "Ferrell 3 32" chain stitched on back of tail. Shirt also has a period repaired tear at beginning of left sleeve. Along with the following lots this jersey was recently discovered in a West Coast estate and to our knowledge is the first Rick Ferrell shirt of any type to come into the marketplace. In addition, 1932 was Ferrell's finest batting season with a .315 batting average and 138 hits. Premium HOF'er shirt which is surely on numerous collector wish lists.
