Description: 1979 Pete Rose Phila. Phillies road jersey. The missing ingredient for the Phillies arrived in 1979. During the late 1970's the Phillies formed some powerful teams led by Mike Schmidt and Steve Carlton but could never move to the next level. In 1980 after one year in a Phillies uniform Rose helped to lead the team to their first World Championship. Jersey is a baby blue knit shirt with original maroon "P" on front and #14 on both front and back. "Rose" nameplate remains on back, "Rose" strip tag inside collar with Wilson tag and "79 2" strip tag on tail front. Shows appropriate usage and wash wear incl. some soiling and letter wear.
