Description: Clem Labine's 1956 Brooklyn Dodgers Goodwill Tour of Japan album. Silk embroidered cover with flying crane decor and gilt lettering embellish these prized presentational photographic albums presented to members of the Tour. Interior features (30) mounted 7 1/2"x9" black and white photos taken during the Tour with subjects including Robinson, Campanella, Dodger team images, Japanese team images, stadium views, and action poses. Images remain clean with original contrast, album has some typical light usage wear: EX-EX/MT. Lot also includes (36) additional original photos taken during the Tour. Images measure 56"x6" and picture various Dodger players and officials incl. Robinson, O'Malley, Campanella, Reese, and Hodges. Included in the additional images is a three scetion 6 1/2"x22" panoramic photo of a game being played in Japan: EX-EX/MT. Substantial offering of Dodger Tour related photography which includes a letter of provenance from a Tour member, Clem Labine.
